Hectic Days

I've been busy trying to match my life at work and my life at my new project fabrica de estilo. Also, I've been busy as a full time mom so I don't wanna be dressy enough at work but also don't wanna be sloppy. I'm just spending my days staying comfy and functional in my life as image consultant and employee.

This first outfit was so comfortable and unexpected because this top was on the bottom of my dresser. Don't remember why 'cause the prints are so pretty... and after 3 kids is a quite flattering top.
I wore it with a denim trouser and a grey jacket that looked so playful and kinda rocker. For sure, I will wear this top more often.

And today, I tried to follow the rocker inspired trend for the week so I took a white shirt, "studded in the waist" black pant and a black peacoat jacket to achieve more office appropriate look.




I'm rocking my purple peeptoe heels because I realized I was wearing lots of black and gray lately.

Busy Bee

I was quite busy at my job and I was kinda unfaithful because of my new project Fabrica de Estilo.

Today I tried to pull out a 2008 fall trend, I'm wearing a dress with a black turtleneck sweater, opaque tights and maryjanes. It was a really good choice for today because was a reiny cold day and I was a busy bee at work so I was in need of a comfy, elegant and warm outfit for a bunch of meetings today. I wore it with a red jacket.

Dark Clouds

I was kinda upset because we are almost in summer time but here in Bogotá is rainy and cold...


I do!! want to start wearing flowers and spring prints but is just impossible... So I start to experiment with fall and winter trends.


For me.. too much grey or black is sad but my Vivienne Westwood for Melissa shoes save my outfit and my mood today...
My hair was so pretty when a left home but the wind and moist messed up my curls a lot... 
But nothing can change my mood today... new day... new goals... just happiness ahead...

Belted Scarf

Today I tried (successfully I think) to pull out this new trend... Is kinda akward here in Colombia and I received all kind of funny looks but it was a really good choice if you wanna look different. Nobody notice my wool sweater underneath so this could be useful when your pile of laundry is reaching the roof..


I rather like to wear a silver belt but I think the white one looks nice...

Wear Sunscreen

Today I was showing to my elder girl the sunscreen speech video and I though it was nice to share... so here it is..

Wear sunscreen.


If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long-term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists, whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience. I will dispense this advice now.

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. Oh, never mind. You will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they've faded. But trust me, in 20 years, you'll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can't grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked. You are not as fat as you imagine.

Don't worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4 p.m. on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing every day that scares you.

Sing.

Don't be reckless with other people's hearts. Don't put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Floss.

Don't waste your time on jealousy. Sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind. The race is long and, in the end, it's only with yourself.

Remember compliments you receive. Forget the insults. If you succeed in doing this, tell me how.

Keep your old love letters. Throw away your old bank statements.

Stretch.

Don't feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives. Some of the most interesting 40-year-olds I know still don't.

Don't mess too much with your hair or by the time you're 40 it will look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia. Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

But trust me on the sunscreen.

It's feels so good when a famous tries even for once to be normal... This is why I give thumbs up for Jessica Simpson and her new spread in Marie Claire.

Without makeup and her hair air-dried, she looks better than ever...

The pictures are earthy and classical at the time and is kinda inspirational for young girls, even for women like us with a little bit of self-confidence issues. 

Cold and rainy


Today is so cold and rainy and is kind of unfair for spring trends hahaha. That's why my outfit is kind of boring but cozy and warming.

I would like to try next week, if the weather stills the same, spring meets winter or something like that... Let's see...

Another day @ cozy mode...

Today I had a meeting early in the morning and accordingly with the week I decided to use pearls again... The weather has been so weird and I rather be warm than catch a cold... so I tried to pull this outfit together...Yesterday, my sis in law, who I adore, told me that at the clinic was a model, a really young girl in coma because a new diet... and I was wondering why we preferred to harm our body than embrace it the way it is.... I love makeup and fashion but later in life I discovered that our body is a temple... Is our duty to preserve it and have a healthy life. After gave birth my last kid I was so chubby and I felt so bad for so long until I realized that life has been so good at me... I'm healthy, my kids are healthy, my fiancé is the best guy in the world, my few girlfriends are unconditional and I'm lucky to have a loving family...
Life is not perfect but so many people in the world have not the opportunity to go to school, eat three meals a day at least, have water at their homes, have a place to live...



Today I feel so blessed and grateful...

Another day at work...

Sometimes you're just not in the mood... well today was one of those days but I empowered myself and try to glamour up a simple outfit with pearl necklaces.. Also was a bad hair day this is why a low pony tail in my short hair complemented the look...
I don't know yet if I was successful with the casual/tired/easy/not a good morning outfit but nobody at the office notice..

Lady dragon shoes!!


I've been thinking about the best wedding ever. I want to have a classic ceremony but also the perfect twist to make it special. I mean, I want a funny, rare and playful wedding for all the family. Eddie and I decided to have a holiday vacations/wedding for all of us. His mom and stepdad are coming and we want her baby sister (that is turning 21 and getting married too) can come. We are making plans for december so the family can be together.


I've been thinking also about a theme as Alice in wonderland and there's so many things that can give to the party a touch of magic. I'm struggle with the dress 'cause I can't make my mind. Sometimes I prefer a full big one and look like a fairy tale's princess but sometimes I just want a sexy plain white dress. The thing is I have't decide anything yet... all the ideas gathering in my mind and it's been stressful but a joy. I just pick one thing and I can't imagine my self without it...
